YouTubing

I definitely think our library can harness the creative power of YouTube. I think we should post tours of the library for those with anxiety about visiting us. Perhaps kids with special needs, or those who simply need extra preparation on the social expectations of visiting the library. There are not many library tours out on Youtube, and less than a handful of public library tours. We could be revolutionary! Now, we don't have to post our video on YouTube, we could simply put in on our website. But, we could post it on YouTube.

I've spent/wasted waaaay too long now trying to find just the right You Tube video to post here. I'm going to call it quits now and stick with this clip of the Andrews Sisters singing and dancing to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.

Ok, That was harder than it looked. I couldn't find the right code anywhere to embed the video into my blog. Then, finally, after trying lots of different routes for almost 30 minutes, I realized that embedding had been turned off for the video I wanted. Once I realized that, I chose another, similar, video that actually gave me the correct code. Much easier! Not as perfectly 'me' as the first version (which you can view by clicking on this link), but close.



Wouldn't Patty be great at leading a storytime class?
